Read the DPIRD press release here:  AgWatch tip-off service targets illegal agricultural activities

This week, the latest Government agency has launched an anonymous reporting form with the help of our client, Crime Stoppers WA.

Since the Crime Stoppers WA site initially launched in 2017 to allow anonymous reporting of a police matters from the community that are passed on as anonymous to the relevant organisation, usually WA Police, the breadth of reach has grown.

The non-profit organisation has grown to include a ability to send information anonymously about;

  • criminal activity in the prison system. These reports go directly to Corrective Services.
  • scammers and how they operate. These reports go directly to WA ScamNet.
  • illegal dumping, pollution, landfill levy, illegal clearing of vegetation, plastic bag ban or other environmental issues. These reports go directly to Dept of Water & Environmental Regulation.
  • actual or possible grant fraud on COVID-19 grants schemes. These reports go directly to the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC). The SBDC is a WA government statutory authority.
  • illegal or suspicious agricultural matters including sale, importation and movement of plants, animals, agricultural items and produce. These reports go directly to Dept of Water & Environmental Regulation.
  • information relating to illegal or suspicious fishing matters. These reports go directly to Dept of Water & Environmental Regulation.

This expansion is something that is helping keep WA safe, and a project we’re proud to be supporting for many years to come.
