2007 Perth Festival Sponsorship
The Perth International Arts Festival is the oldest and largest festival of its kind in Australia. Every year, the Festival brings music, theatre, dance and film from around the world to the people of Western Australia.
Over the past four years, PerthWeb has provided web site design, development and hosting services to the Festival as a major sponsor. Over this time, the web site has grown from a novelty to an essential part of the Festival’s marketing efforts, as more and more people look to the world wide web for access to information. The 2004-2005 Perth Festival web site was a finalist in the 2005 WA Web Awards, in the not-for-profit category, showing just how well it was performing.
While working at PerthWeb, Kay Smoljak of Clever Starfish was instrumental in looking after the Festival’s often unique web requirements, building a relationship with the Festival staff over the years. We’re pleased to announce that for the 2007 Perth Festival, Clever Starfish will be joining PerthWeb as a major sponsor in a co-branding arrangement, allowing us both to continue our ongoing interest in making the Perth Festival web site bigger, better and brighter than ever before.
The 2007 Festival runs from 9 February to 4 March. The program will be launched in November, and we look forward to the unveiling of the new web site at that time. See you at the Festival!

Well done and I can’t wait to see the design!
I’m sure we’ll be seeing lots of hCalendar in there

Thanks Steven! Certainly lots of potential for use of microformats - and definitely something we’ll look at doing.

Hi Kay!
I just googled Perth Festivals and came across this post, and of course now remember that you were working on the site! I think it’s really beautiful, and easy to navigate too!
Well done to you and Perthweb!
And I’m going to have to look into this hcalendar thing, can’t say I’m too happy using Google calendar, but haven’t found anything better that is just as easy for me as a non-techie!
seeya,
