David Ridgway

Dave’s primary focus is writing great software applications, but he is equally passionate about user interfaces, usability and the presentation of the software to the user.

Dave graduated from Computer Power in 1994 (back when 640kb of RAM was enough for everyone), and has been developing software for over 15 years. He has worked as a CAD operator, 3D modeller and animator, system administrator, technician, manager and developer – sometimes one at a time, and more often than not, filling many roles simultaneously.

In 2002, he created the business model for a leading icon design firm, and led the team there until leaving to form Clever Starfish.

Concentrating on user interface design, software usability and critique, icon design, product development, marketing and client consultation, Dave has worked with some of the world’s most “iconic” and recognisable companies, such as Nero, Agilent and Airbus.

With his drive to implement new ideas and products, you will find Dave participating in many industry events, both web and software orientated.
